NYLON CORAL

Nylon Coral is a chair made as a byproduct of production activity.

 

A found chair is left inside the flocking booth of a flock-coating manufacturer. Weeks later, project after project, application after application, the flock residue is layerd on the chair in an organic manner. Depending on how succesfull the season has been for the factory and the nature of works it will have to complete, the object will be

layered with thicker or thinner formations, and of different colours. 

 

As a by-product of the flocking activity, the nature of objects made is a measure of the company’s success and a celebration of the fact that it is still alive.
