SUNCLOCK

The SunClock collection is a series of clocks lined in natural leather which has acquired a tan.

Using a solarium lamp normally employed for cosmetic tanning, the clocks of the collection have been suntanned, each presenting different tan-line patterns on their dial.

Those patterns are designed to correspond to the presence or absence of sun, the gradual strength and weakening of sunlight within the day and the gradient nature of sun rays as they pass through the clouds.

The collection contemplates  the relationship between the passing of the time and the concept of beauty, as a value that evolves with time, rather than declines. The clock face essentially presents decorative patterns that both appear and fade out with the passing of the time and with the object's use.
